What is the situation where you are studying?
Computing: 8 boys and 0 girls
Applied ICT: 8 boys and 6 girls
http://www.computerweekly.com/blogs/witsend/2009/08/ten-times-more-boys-took-computing-a-level---why-this-matters-for-the-it-industry.html
In England, ten times as many boys as girls took Computing A-level: 3,697 compared to 302. This trend continued across the UK. There were 4,256 boys on the course across the country, and 454 girls.
I think women who are taking ICT will be most likely to be effected as the workplace are used to having men, deal with computers and they may feel that woemn are not as good as men as they are in the minority.
This impact is setreotyping girls in to turning them away from doing subjects as it is look at as a 'boy' subject. Although the statistics for our school is a rare example where as there are only 2 more boys in ICT which is rare occurence according to the national figures.
