The advantages: The company can kep a strict control of what it's emplyee's are doing on the interenet, so that the employer can note if they have an employee who is wasting there time. It can also see emails that tey are sending so the company can see if the person is applying for different jobs. This will mean the comapny can see if it needs to talk to the staff accordingly.
The disadvantages: For the organisation is that it get numerous email to look through and some of them could be harmless meaning that they are creating extra work for themselves. They also are blocking certain sites that are unsuitable for workers but may be deemed suitable for others. The disadvantages of this for employees is that none of there email's could become personal, which means they have to monitor what they are sending as if it is to personal they will not want there comapny to be able to access to it.
