1.1-Activity 20 - Investigate downloading goods and services

I have downloaded music from itunes and a program called gimp.
I-tunes - I did this as the music can be put on my ipod and it is cheaper than buying the CD. It was also more convinient rather than going to the shops and getting the CD.
GIMP- a program which is used for editing photos and making images rather than using photoshop due to it's cost and it's smalled file size on my computer.
Downloaded both pieces has worked fine as on I-tunes my music can be downloaded to my i-pod and it stays in my libary. GIMP has also worked fine as it can be used and has been used to create images, it also work well with editing photo's.
The downsides of these two products is that if you don't back up you music libary and you computer has a problem and loses it's memory you lose your songs, but if you had a CD you would be able to re-upload. This would also mean you can downlaoded the CD to multiple computers rather than jsut paying it to be put on one.
GIMP's downsides are that some of the tools aren't as good as the real photo and image editor.
Otherwises the products I have downloaded are been used more because the interent is allowing products to be downloaded via the internet.
