Britannica Online
Purpose: The purpose of this site is that people can go onto the webiste and search for information about different subjects, this is a factual site.
Format: The format of this page is a HTML document
Structure: It is structured with tables to keep everything formatted and it makes the page easier to use as it has a very clear and define structure.
Presentation: It is different shades of blue, with a search bar at the top of the page -this is a very clear feature as it is outlined in yellow. There is a list of all of the different sections of the encyclopedia down oneside, which the relevant information will appear next to. On the other side of the web page there is a list and explanation of different things britannica does for differnt age ranges.
Navigation: The navigation is very good on the page as there is many link to different pieces on information on the page such as 'shop' there is also the links to the different sections and the search box for easy navigation.
Encarta

Presentation: It has a blue and white background, this site has some adverts on it and is a bit more busier. It has a search box and along the top it has the different parts of the encylopedia. I felt as it was so busy and the text was too small.
Navigation: There are many links on this page to adverts and the links to differnt parts of the encylopedia, the links are easy to use.
Encarta Multimedia Encyclopaedia
Purpose: The purpose of this site is that people

Structure: It is structured with tables to keep everything formatted and it makes the page easier to use as it has a very clear and define structure. Although this page has very defined boxes making it more appealing to the viewer.
Presentation:It has a light blus background with a picture adding somme colour to the screen then underneath there are three boxes a blue one where you can sign up for updates, a green box about school tip and a yello box for teachers. There is also a search box at the top of the page.
Navigation: The navigation is that there is a search box and manly link, the only thing I think could be inproved is that there is no sub topics.

I feel that all sites could have improvement some of the navigation on the last site needs improvement but I think the best site would be Britannica online as it is more helpful and easier to use, whereas I felt Encarta the structure was not very good and I felt the page was too busy.
